Angela Shyr is a violinist and pianist whose classical

training was a launching pad for her discovery of the

world's medley in music.  An active performer on the West

and East coasts, she has extensive experience in

classical, rock, pop and world music arenas.  In addition to

enjoying
a colorful palette of teaching private lessons,

coaching the
Girl Band, and recording sessions,

she has performed live with Led Zeppelin, Snow Patrol, the

B-52’s, Sarah McLachlan, Guster and the Ornette

Coleman Trio at Carnegie Hall.


At age 7, Angela was personally invited by Yehudi

Menuhin to attend his music school for gifted musicians in

England. She participated in youth programs at the New

England Conservatory and Longy School of Music. Her

teachers included Marylou Speaker Churchill, former

principal second violinist of the Boston Symphony

Orchestra, and Emmanuel Borok, concertmaster of the

Dallas Symphony.
